Kris Berry on tour with Gregory porter in Royal Albert Hall

The tour, amongst amazing venues such as the Manchester-based O2 Apollo Arena, starts and ends at The Royal Albert Hall in London. Berry will perform predominantly personal work from her latest album Berry Street. “Gregory is an incredible example for me. I obviously feel honored; I’m beyond excited and look forward to this memorable and special tour.” Kris Berry’s New York produced album Berry Street is an eclectic blend of gospel, soul, and hip-hop in a most sensual way. Berry Street, with over 4.5 million streams, is a harmonic configuration of her upbringing, illustrating a personal, rhythmic, soulful and modern take on the nineties. She was inspired by a wide range of artists from a cross-genre perspective: think Billie Holiday, The Nat King Cole Trio, The Staple Singers, Bobbie Gentry, Erykah Badu and Quadron. Berry, born and raised on the Dutch-Caribbean island of Curacao also performed on the North Sea Jazz Festival; she won the NPO Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Award; was nominated for the Dutch Radio 3FM Award for Best Album on her work with Perquisite, and accompanied the Dutch Miss Caro Emerald on an arena tour throughout the UK, in 2014.
