Nina June

BON VOYAGE is the new musical project of singer and artistic director Nina June.

She has been inspired for BON VOYAGE by the feminity, individuality and humour of the style icons of the twentieth century; Blondie, Madonna and Marilyn Monroe. BON VOYAGE is a combination of music, photography, fashion and film, and a display of Nina's view of the world; "It is about the hidden loneliness of our generation. We are all young, beautiful and talented. But also searching. For love, freedom and our personal mission. We have never before been so interconnected, yet we are alone in this journey. BON VOYAGE is a greeting to everyone who faces this quest."

The songs for BON VOYAGE have been written by June in cooperation with Tienus Konijnenburg whom she studied with at the Rock Academy and who is currently making waves internationally as composer of Kygo's "Firestone". Together they combine organic and electronic influences and find inspiration in film-music and modern pop. The result - a series of atmospheric, cinematic songs.

Born in the Netherlands (1985), the now Amsterdam-based singer began aged 12 in youth theater. Besides playing in the theater she sang in several bands and graduated at the Rock Academy in 2008. From that moment pop music and theater merged in her mind. She has toured in the Netherlands and England, directs performances by other artists and she was proclaimed by 3FM as ''Serious Talent' with her album The World Awaits ' after which gigs on TV (‘De Wereld Draait Door’) and at the prestigious Songbird Festival followed. National newspaper, Trouw, described the singer as a "strong, confident performer"while NRC tagged her as "The Dutch Dusty Springfield."

In April 2015 "For Love" is released, the first track of BON VOYAGE.
