Floris Verbeij (1982) is an Amsterdam based pianist and composer. He studied jazz piano with amongst others Brad Mehldau, Jason Rebello (pianist in Stings band) and Clare Fischer (who arranged for Prince and Michael Jackson). Right after his graduation he was asked to teach in both the Conservatories of Utrecht and Amsterdam. Since then he worked as a composer and arranger for films, television and National theatre plays and worked for amongst others Theu Boermans, Hanro Smitsman and Fons Merkies.
He made the score for films such as:
- De Laatste reis van meneer van Leeuwen (2012, Hanro Smitsman)
- Ballast (2012, Mirjam de With)
- Jack Bestelt een Broertje (2015, Anne de Clercq)
Furthermore Floris is currently working on the scores for a.o.Hallo Bungalow (Anne de Clercq) and Rokjesdag (Johan Nijenhuis). Besides this Floris co-produces and composes for LOUISV.
